Board Members

  • Greg Agran is Managing Partner & CIO of Sugar Magnolia Ventures.

    He was previously Partner and Global Head of Commodities Trading at Goldman Sachs, where he was also a member of the Securities Division Executive Committee, Securities Division Americas Operating Committee, Firmwide Risk Committee, Physical Commodity Review Committee, and the Clean Technology and Renewables Group Investment Committee. Greg joined Goldman Sachs in 1991 as an analyst in Foreign Exchange in New York. He moved to Commodities in 1992 and worked in London from 1993 to 1998. From 1998 to 2000, he worked in the New York office before relocating again to London. In 2001, Greg returned to New York as head of Natural Gas and Power Trading within Commodities. Greg was named Managing Director in 1999 and Partner in 2006.

    Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Greg worked as an Analyst at UBS. Greg earned an undergraduate degree from Harvard University in 1990.

  • Mary Anne Brelinsky is President of Alpha Generation, an ArcLight Company. Prior to joining Alpha Generation, Mary Anne served as President of EDF Energy North America, which included EDF Trading and EDF Energy Services, where she was responsible for EDF’s Power and Natural Gas Retail businesses, the Generation Services business, as well as Gas and Power Trading Desks in the U.S. and Canada.

    Prior to EDF, Mary Anne held positions with Reliant Energy and Dynegy. Mary Anne started her career with the Exxon Chemical Company where she held several engineering and plant operations positions.

    Mary Anne has been recognized as one of the industry’s Thought Leaders by the Energy Thought Summit, received the Houston Business Journal’s Women in Energy Leadership Award, and the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce Breakthrough Woman Award.

    Mary Anne serves on the Board of Directors for Atlas Scholars, the Gulf Coast Power Association, the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce, the University of Houston’s Energy Advisory Board, and the Renewable Energy Alliance of Houston. She has an engineering degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.

  • Geoff Berg is Founding Partner of Berg Plummer Johnson & Raval, LLP.

    Geoff has handled virtually every kind of case. From representing corporations in complex multi-million dollar commercial disputes to employment matters, arguments over oilfield trade secrets, government and corporate investigations, there is little he has not handled successfully.

    Geoff is AV Preeminent-rated 2000-2018, by Martindale-Hubbell, has been a Texas Super Lawyer in business litigation every year 2004-2018 by Super Lawyers, a division of Thomson Reuters, was a Rising Star before that, and is listed in Best Lawyers in America. 2012-2019, The Best Lawyers in America, by Levine Leichtman Capital Partners.

    Geoff has presented CLE programs dealing with legal ethics, and spoken at the University of Houston Law Center on trial strategy. He has also been hired by some of the largest and best-known firms in the country to offer expert testimony on attorneys’ fees.

    Geoff makes frequent appearances on television and radio. He has been on the Today Show, CNN, CNBC, and virtually every local station. The Houston Chronicle calls Geoff “one of the best-known experts and thinkers” in Houston.

    Before founding Berg Plummer Johnson & Raval, LLP, Geoff was of counsel at Diamond McCarthy, a national trial boutique. Before that, Geoff practiced with his father, David Berg, at Berg & Androphy.

  • Jack Miglioretti II is a power trader and Head of ERCOT at Trafigura, where he is responsible for building Trafigura’s power trading portfolio and pipeline for renewable and other power products and services.

    After joining Constellation in 2000 as an associate, Jack served in various roles across Finance, Portfolio Management, and Trading over 19 years. Jack then moved to Houston in 2019 to join Macquarie as a Senior Vice President in US Power Trading, before joining Trafigura in 2020.

    Jack has been an active volunteer and supporter of numerous nonprofits. He is an active supporter of the United Way, serving as a Tocqueville Executive Council member for three years, in addition to supporting several organizations such as Catholic Charities and The Special Olympics. An avid supporter of Atlas Scholars, Jack has served as a mentor and guest speaker for more than five years. He received his B.S. in Finance from Mount St. Mary’s University

  • Craig Taylor is the founder and CEO of Iapetus Holdings, a multimillion-dollar portfolio of energy service companies and alternative investments with more than 400 employees across seven U.S. offices.

    Craig has over 20 years of experience in the finance and energy space as a commodities broker for MBF Clearing Corporation and SCS Commodities Corporation. Prior to his career in commodities, he worked on the legal side of the finance sector for White & Case, LLP in New York City.

    Craig’s entrepreneurial spirit and personal path to his energy and finance career inspired him to give back to the next generation of business leaders through the Atlas Scholars program.

    Before beginning his career, Craig spent several years as a leader in the United States Navy. He was a Petty Officer 3rd Class for the Presidential Honor Guard and USS Ticonderoga where he oversaw a platoon of over 50 men and women in duties representing the U.S. Navy at ceremonies for the President of the United States, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff, Secretary of the Navy and the Chief of Naval operations.

    Craig received his B.S. in management from the University of Maryland, his J.D. from Fordham University, and most recently earned an MBA through the joint Global Executive Program at Columbia University and London Business School.

  • Tej Singh serves as Chief Operating Officer for Iapetus Holdings LLC and its operating companies.

    Originally from Canada, Tej began his career at Ontario Power Generation before pursuing a career in trading and consulting at Dynegy, TD Securities, and Deloitte in Canada. Tej moved on to Goldman Sachs in New York where he spent nearly six years in commodities trading and finally Mercuria in Houston, before joining Iapetus Holdings in 2012.

    Tej obtained a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Management Studies from McMaster University in Ontario. He was an active player raising money and defining business strategy for a Canadian commercial startup for seven years.

    In 2021, Tej was honored among the recipients of the Top 50 Financial Leaders award by the National Diversity & Leadership Conference.

  • Jay Mondkar is a member of General Atlantic’s $3.5bn climate fund, BeyondNetZero, where he focuses on growth equity investments in companies combating climate change at scale.

    Prior to joining General Atlantic, Jay worked in investment banking at Rothschild & Co in the Restructuring & Debt Advisory group.

    Jay graduated from The University of Texas at Austin and was a member of the inaugural graduating class at Atlas Scholars from 2013-2015.
