Being an Atlas Scholar is about more than grades or a résumé, it’s about mindset. We look for students who are:

Are you eligible?
A sophomore at a Houston-area high school (includes any surrounding areas)
Overall GPA of 2.5 or higher
Able to commit to three-year program, including three one-month summer programs after your sophomore, junior, and senior year of high school
Interest in energy / finance career not required. Past Scholars have gone on to study everything from engineering to economics, computer science, international relations, business, and more. Atlas Scholars will prepare you for success in any career or field
How the process works
Our application process runs from December - April
Applications are accepted from December 1, 2025 - March 6, 2026
Group Interviews for selected applicants will be on Saturday, March 21st
Final Interviews will be scheduled with selected applicants in early April
On-Campus announcements of chosen Scholars will be scheduled between late-April and early-May
