COMPONENTS
1) Student application
Includes your background information, grid assessment, resume, transcript, and essay.
2) Letter of recommendation
Please submit one recommendation (teacher, school counselor, administrator, coach, work supervisor, mentor, etc. all acceptable). Ask recommenders well in advance to provide ample time. The letter of recommendation should be sent to info@atlasscholars.com by your recommender.

ELIGIBILITY
Attending a Houston high school and currently in 10th grade (member of the Class of 2026)
U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
Overall GPA of 2.5 or higher
Must be able to commit to the following internship program dates: June 10, 2024 – July 3, 2024 from 8:30am – 3:30pm
Able to commit to three-year program, including three one-month summer programs. Summer sessions are typically the first four weeks of June the summers after sophomore, junior, and senior year of high school
Interest in energy / finance career not required. Past Scholars have gone on to study everything from engineering to economics, computer science, international relations, business, and more. Atlas Scholars will prepare you for success in any career or field
SELECTION PROCESS
A committee comprised of Atlas Scholars executive leadership, board members, and alumni will review applications. Selected applicants will be notified and invited to interviews with program leadership.
